In 2024 I published What We Can’t Burn with Westwood Press. I co-wrote it in 2020 just after graduating from college. My coauthor and I alternate chapters and tell the story of our rocky, transformative friendship in hopes of illuminating both the power and pitfalls of good-faith disagreement — in our case, about the best way to transition off fossil fuels. I got to do a 30-stop book tour including bookstores, college classrooms, and festivals across the United States and Kenya. One of these stops was the Center for Ethics at Harvard, where I am now a fellow on their ‘civil discourse’ team. In Fall 2025, the book was recommended to all Harvard freshmen as part of their opening lecture. You can read reviews of the book and tour here and here.

“What a ride—gritty and intricate and important.” —James Engell, Gurney Research Professor of English at Harvard University
